Veronique Lefort

Founder & Lead Instructor

Polestar Pilates

Motor control, postural correction, body awareness, full apparatus

Veronique is a movement specialist and entrepreneur with 15 years in the field. Trained in classical ballet, she approaches Pilates through a functional lens: precise, anatomically grounded, and built for real results rather than trends. Certified through Polestar Pilates, she works from deep anatomical knowledge to break each exercise down with clarity, targeting motor control, postural correction and body awareness. She founded MTLPILATES in 2017, and the studio now sits in the Golden Square Mile on Peel Street with expanded facilities and a team trained to the same standard. She continues her education with leading practitioners across the field, a forever student.

  • Izabel, Instructor at MTLPILATES

    Izabel

    Instructor

    Fletcher Pilates

    Breath, spinal articulation, fluid sequencing

Izabel describes herself as a laid-back athlete though she’s nonetheless a relentless perfectionist of the Pilates method. Her background in synchronized skating shaped her understanding of anatomy, joint alignment, and the power behind each movement; the two disciplines share the same demand for precision and control. She has been part of Véronique Lefort’s MTLPILATES team for the past six years and recently completed her Fletcher Pilates training with Jacqueline Ethier in Ottawa — deepening her work on breath, spinal articulation, and the fluidity that defines the Fletcher approach. A fashion stylist by day, Izabel brings that same eye to her teaching: an architectural way of building a sequence, one that leaves your posture feeling elegant, relaxed, and easy.

  • Alexa, Instructor at MTLPILATES

    Alexa

    Services offered in English

    Instructor

    Paula Morgan Technique (Classical Method)

Classical method, precision and form, the reason behind each exercise

Alexa grew up inside Pilates. Her mother owns a long-running dance and Pilates studio, so movement was never a hobby, it was the family business. As a dancer, she saw firsthand what the work does: keeps the body mobile, strong, and injury-free. Her eye for detail and form comes from her training and certification in the Paula Morgan Technique. Rooted in the Classical Method, she works from the belief that no two bodies move the same way, the challenge is finding the path into a deeper practice for each one. She teaches the why, not just the how. Clients leave understanding the purpose behind every exercise, and they feel it in daily life, not just in the studio. (Services are currently offered in English.)
