The apparatus system
The Cadillac at MTLPILATES
The Cadillac is a raised table framed by a trapeze, push-through bar and spring system that supports and challenges the body in equal measure. It is used for spinal decompression, shoulder mobility and controlled strength work within a dedicated, supportive environment.
The method in motion
What does the Cadillac do for your body?
The Cadillac decompresses and mobilises the spine, opens the shoulders, and builds controlled strength through its trapeze, push-through bar and springs. It can support almost all of a client's weight, making advanced movement accessible and rehab work precise.
The frame lets an instructor set up hanging, supported and spring-assisted movements that are impossible elsewhere in the studio. For a stiff, desk-bound spine, the push-through bar restores extension and rotation; for a strong client, the same frame turns into a demanding strength tool.
The Cadillac is a cornerstone apparatus that enables MTLPILATES to teach the complete system as intended, providing deep spinal decompression and supported articulation.
Who is the Cadillac for?
The Cadillac suits rehabilitation clients, anyone with a stiff or sensitive back, and advanced practitioners ready for its overhead repertoire. Because it is used mostly in private sessions, every setup is adapted to the individual.
It is especially valuable for clients returning from injury or surgery, where the spring support allows movement to be rebuilt gradually and under close supervision.
How do you train on the Cadillac?
Cadillac work happens mainly in private and duo sessions, where the instructor can tailor the springs and repertoire to you. Start with an intro private, three private sessions for $225, and tell the studio your goals when you book.
